Left Filter
A green light allows the the stop line to be crossed, but the give way line indicates that priority must be given to those passing from right to left in this example.
The blue car may go forward from the stop line on green, but even the left filter light does not grant prority at the give way line.
This situation can seem counter-intuitive, because it is not usual to give priority to someone turning right, as in the case of the red car.
It is important for the driver of the blue car to make at least one careful check before proceeding into the new road, including looking over the right shoulder if necessary to compensate for the car being angled towards the left.
